Ministry keeps Russia’s inflation estimate at 7.5% in 2023
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Economic Development Ministry maintains the inflation estimate of 7.5% for 2023, Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told reporters on Thursday at VTB’s investment forum Russia Calling.
“We are still going to 7.5% on inflation. We keep this estimate,” he said.
The ministry’s estimate of Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2023 is 3.5%, he also said, adding that the official forecast will not be formally revised.
The official forecast assumes that the economy will grow 2.8% in 2023, but the authorities have repeatedly said that growth will actually be higher.
